libjsoncpp-dev software package provides Library for reading and writing JSON for C++ (devel files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjsoncpp-dev
libjsoncpp-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjsoncpp-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjsoncpp-dev *
You will get with libjsoncpp-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
